How much does an AI agent cost in 2026?
The price of an AI agent for an SME or mid-sized company: market ranges, our published prices, running costs and what makes a quote vary.
It is the first question people ask, and one providers rarely answer in writing. Here are the market ranges, our own prices, and what makes a quote vary.
Market ranges
According to our survey of the published prices of French integrators, agencies and freelancers (September 2026):

These ranges are volatile: pricing pages change often. They give an order of magnitude, not a quote.

These prices apply to processing your data in Europe, included as standard. Processing in France is an option, at a price shown on each offer page. Your fixed price is set in the quote, before starting.
Costs after going live
An agent runs, so it consumes. Three items should be planned for, and priced in the same quote:
- AI model usage, which depends on the volume processed;
- hosting the agent;
- third-party tool licences, if any are needed.
On the market, model usage most often ranges from €50 to €500 a month for an SME, depending on volume. You can pay it at actual cost or as a flat fee.
On top of that, if you choose it, comes monitoring: watching how the agent runs, fixing it, adapting it when your tools change. With us, it starts at €390 excl. VAT a month for a task, €690 excl. VAT for a process and €990 excl. VAT for a domain. See Monitoring.
What makes a quote vary
- The scope: a task, a process, a domain.
- The tools to connect, and whether a documented connection exists.
- The state of the data: up to date and organised, or scattered.
- Special cases: few exceptions, or many.
- How sensitive the data is, and the chosen place of processing.
- The level of human approval you want.
How to compare two quotes
Do not compare the price alone. Check:
- the exact scope: how many tasks or processes, with which exceptions;
- the checks: on how many of your real cases is the agent tested?
- what is handed over to you: the code, the instructions given to the AI, the connections to your tools;
- the indicators: are they agreed before signing? A provider who drags their feet on this is a warning sign;
- the running costs: are they priced?
And the return on investment?

Why do prices vary so much from one provider to another?
Because the same word covers very different work: an automation without AI, an agent on a task, a complete process checked on real cases, or a whole domain. Always compare the scope, the checks and what is handed over to you, not just the price.
Are there costs after going live?
Yes: AI model usage, hosting and third-party tool licences, to be priced in the quote. And, if you choose it, monthly monitoring, which keeps the agent working when your tools change.
Is a fixed price possible?
Yes, once the scope has been counted: which tasks or processes, how many tools to connect, what level of human approval. That is what a prior diagnostic provides.
